10 Affordable Mommy Daughter Date Night Ideas:

Here are 10 ways you can have #mommydates every day until your little one heads back to the classroom.

1. Take her to a matinee.

She loves going to the movie theatre, and you love the popcorn. It’s a win-win. Taking her during the day is less expensive, and you’ll have more room. While everyone else is at work, you can enjoy a few last minute summer matinees.

2. Enjoy the pool.

If you live in a community with a pool, get your suit on and hit the water. Grab a cute floatie and hit the pool. For about $15 (for the floatie), you and the magical mermaid can go take a dip or just put your feet in the cool pool.

3. Stroll through the park.

Find the park in town with the prettiest flowers, and take a walk through the party. Hold hands, skip around, and look at the pretty flowers. A walk in nature is always good for our bodies and our spirits. Ask her which flower she would be if she were a flower.

4. Paint each other’s nails.

Choose a cool color and paint away. The time you spend together will be perfect as your cute nails dry. This is a great time to also ask your little one what her dreams are and how she wants the school year to go.

5. Take a roadtrip to the next town over.

Choose a town about 20 minutes from your city and take the drive. Turn the music up, put the windows down, and enjoy the drive. A quick drive to a new environment could be everything you both need to make some new memories.

6. Go have ice cream.

An ice cream cone is the perfect evening #mommydate. Choose a local ice cream shop, pick a tasty new flavor, and sit out and enjoy your treat. Your little one may want to try something new, so grab a smaller size just in case.
