Royal Caribbean CoCoCay Island: We’ve Been Cruisin’
Exploring Royal Caribbean CoCoCay Island
Private islands and lazy days have been a huge part of my family’s commitment to not working so much and having a little more fun together. H’s dad and I really want to show our daughter what it means to actually enjoy life. We work so hard to provide for her, and she sees us working all the time. Even though a few trips to the movie theater and the zoo would keep her happy and smiling, we really want her to know she can enjoy life in a cool, relaxing way.
So, we headed out to the newly opened private CoCoCay Island in the Bahamas. The weather was perfect and the resort was immaculate. I knew I wanted to explore beyond our usual outings, and this was the perfect place to do it.
Here’s a quick glance into our CoCoCay island getaway.
1. Slip & Slide. We had an amazing time slipping and sliding at the water parks on CoCoCay Island. H had a blast splashing and swimming around. The resort is known for its miles of thrill-seeking water slides, lazy lagoons, and beautiful beaches, and it didn’t disappoint us at all.
2. Jet Ski & Relax. There’s a cool Chill Beach separated from the water park area that I absolutely loved. You know every mama needs a special place on each vacation that caters to her self-care routine, and this was that special space for me. I was able to get a nice drink, relax in the cabanas, and ride a jet ski when I was feeling adventurous.
3. Eat & Laugh. We had a great time eating at the resort’s restaurant. They were super kid friendly and offered a variety of menu options for the picky kids (you know what I mean).
I would definitely head back to CoCoCay Island for a quick weekend vacay since it was easy to plan and enjoy. The resort is all-inclusive so with a few plane tickets booked and the summer carry-ons, we were able to plan and have fun in less than a week! The sun on CoCoCay Island sure does make me smile, and it feels good to enjoy my family this way. Make sure to do the same with your family this summer. Family over everything else. Every day.
