What Moves You
I am moved to do what I do.
As a mama, especially a single mama, it’s about more. It’s bigger and deeper than the material stuff.
I’ve been in this blogging game for some time now, and everyone sees the pretty pictures and the promotions, but they don’t often see the moments I take to breathe and count my blessings.
Sometimes I simply sit and ask myself a few questions, and the answers I say to myself (yes, I talk to myself) might surprise you.
Why am I doing all of this? Because I want H to see me as a strong, powerful, and influential woman.
What is the one thing I really want in life? Freedom. True freedom.
What do I love most about motherhood? Knowing H is my heart outside of my body. What moves me? H’s voice, her smile, her laughter, her snoring, her whining, and her spirit.
Everyday I am faced with some type of problem to solve, whether small or large, and I take a minute and remember what moves me. If you read my post about having to get a new car a year ago, you know I face the same issues you do. I have meltdowns and moments, but when I think of what moves me, I’m compelled to get up, brush myself off, and keep moving.
