I'm admitting it...I love Fall! I love going to the pumpkin patch, taking hay rides, picking pumpkins, dressing up for Halloween, and drinking a warm toddy after bedtime.
Yet, my favorite is still picking pumpkins with this sweet little mama. I try to take her before it gets too chilly and all the unique pun’kins are chosen. We love taking home a few to decorate, carve, and use as decor for the table centerpiece or the front door.
Pumpkins are so cute, but I like to make sure I know what I'm buying, so I don't grab one I can't keep, cut open, or one that smells unusual (I've never had it happen but it could).
What's your favorite pumpkin?
Jack Be Little---these are the little wide orange ones. Great for decor because the more, the merrier.
Baby Boo/Lumina---these are the ghostly white ones that come in small and medium sizes. They make for cute little decorated ghosts for Halloween.
Mini Harvest Blend---these are the ones with yellow and green mixed together. They are perfect for your Fall photo shoot.
Super Freak (I call them Frankenstein because they're my FAVES)----are the unique ones of the bunch that have spots, bumps, and...wait for it...warts!
Fairytale----these are the wide ones you remember from Cinderella. They are great for creating a magical centerpiece for Thanksgiving.
Howden-----these are the most popular, and the ones you see in the produce section of the grocery store. They are great for carving and all your Fall recipes.
Happy Pumpkin Patch time!
