A Day of Beauty
Nobody said this single mama thing was going to be easy...
This last week was a stressful one. Living in a new city with Honor and having everything fall on me is definitely an adjustment. It's one that I'm grateful for and wouldn't change, but even this mama has tough weeks. This is was one of them for me.
So like I'm always preaching to you beauties, I took a day for self-care. After dropping H off at school, I set work aside (something I don't easily do), and headed to Cristophe Beverly Hills for the most perfect day of self-care and renewal.
From the moment I walked in, I was treated like I was special. There is something to be said about salons that can make you feel that way... ones that turn a service into an experience.
I was greeted immediately by one of the amazing team members who handed me a glass of champagne and asked what my goals were for the day. It was obvious their main concern was my happiness and that I walked out of that salon feeling like a better version of myself.
I decided that I wanted to do something lighter for spring some I asked them to incorporate blonde into it, and for the first time in 10 years, I decided to wear my hair straight! I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. The team who worked on my color and style, Matthew and Aaron, were quite simply amazing.
Due to being in the salon for six hours, they ordered me lunch and I got to hear their stories. It might have been my favorite part of the day - getting to know the team that helped turn my week around.
After finishing up with the style, I got to meet with the gorgeous Paris, who made my look complete with the perfect makeup application. She's beauty goals, you guys.
I really needed the pick me up after this long week, and as it turns out, sometimes all you need is a good salon day to get you back on the right track.
